Migration in Film Series 2023-2024
The Migration in Film Series, established by Hannah Alarian in collaboration with the Center for Arts, Migration, and Entrepreneurship, is a free, community wide event dedicated to highlighting global migration experiences. Each screening is paired with discussion by local academics, artists, and immigrant and student organizations to foster conversations on migration’s portrayal in art and politics. Every film event occurs at a different community venue to provide a unique and accessible experience for the broader Gainesville community.
